Subwoofer M 2200 SW

Equipped with a 300 mm woofer, active equaliser and 400 W class D amp, the M 2200 SW generates incredibly powerful yet tight sub-bass frequencies all the way down to 25 Hz.

The considerable size of the cone and generous volume of the cabinet allow this Teufel subwoofer to deliver distortion-free sub-bass at high volume levels into rooms as large as 50 m2. The bass reflex opening on the M 2200 SW has been tuned to a very low frequency so that any air noise remains well below the audible limits of perception.

The completely redesigned amplifier contains an integrated bass booster that allows you to choose between the lowest frequency (25 Hz) and maximum undistorted sound level (45 Hz). Thus, you can adapt the subwoofer to your requirements and listening taste, and compensate for any problems or resonances in your listening room.

Since this subwoofer is magnetically shielded, there is no need to hide it away in a corner – it can even be placed right next to your TV.

Pair Dipole Speaker M 220 D

Outstanding spatiality can be achieved in the sound field using the M 220 D surround speakers for the rear effect channels.

To ensure that the sound field remains as diffuse and non-directional as possible, this speaker operates as a dipole. Here, one 130 mm woofer and one 25 mm fabric dome tweeter are installed on each side and radiate sound forwards and backwards in opposite directions to each other. Hence, direct sound is kept at a minimum. This provides listeners with the impression of being fully immersed in a three-dimensional soundscape as if they were sitting in a cinema.

The patented dipole circuitry provides linear frequency response for the effect channels from 80 Hz upwards. This allows the woofer to be optimised for digital sound formats.

And should you prefer having direct sound radiate from the rear channels, this is not a problem. The M 220 D is equipped with a switch for changing between these operating modes. By fastening an additionally available bracket to the thread at the bottom of the cabinet, you can mount this speaker to a wall.

A pair of Teufel M 220 F two-way speakers serves as the main stereo channel speakers in this system. These classic upright speakers are not only perfect for home theatres; they also pass hi-fi requirements with flying colours.

Slim in design, these speakers can be easily installed on a bookshelf. Alternatively, you can use the matching M 310 P or M 110 P stands to set them up next to a TV or anywhere else in your room.

In addition to the maple-silver finish (black-silver finish is also available), the revamped M 220 F contains many other new features. The two-way speaker utilises a 160 mm woofer with a special high-tech fibreglass diaphragm.

The 25 mm fabric dome tweeter has also been redesigned. This driver makes use of high-energy density neodymium magnets and ferrofluid cooling for the voice coil. The new, slightly offset mirror arrangement of the tweeters compensates for delay times between the two drivers. As a result, the impulse response is optimal and speech intelligibility has been vastly improved.
